ACCOMMODATION FOR STUDENTS - 2025-2026
During the winter months there are various parties that offer accommodation in Enkhuizen to students of the Enkhuizen Nautical College. Details of the various possibilities appear on this page.
TJALK ''ORION'' - MOORED IN ENKHUIZEN
The 'Orion'', a 25 x 5 metre Tjalk, built in 1892, will be moored in Enkhuizen during winter 2025/2026.
There is availability for 3 x 2 person cabins and 3 x 4 person cabins. Furthermore, there is a large living and study area for +/- 25 persons, with a fully fitted kitchen with hot and cold running water, cooker, oven, microwave, coffee machine etc. There is a 240V electricity supply, heating throughout the ship and comfortable shared shower and toilets. There is also unlimited fast WiFi.
For long stays the prices are as follows:
- 2 person private cabin - EUR 425 per month;
- 4 person private cabin - EUR 610 per month;
including bedding, towels, tourist tax and use of shower, toilets, kitchen and study area.
For short stays, the prices are as follows:
- shared cabin with bedding and towel - EUR 45 per person per night;
- private cabin with bedding and towel - EUR 105 per person per night;
including bedding, towels, tourist tax and use of shower, toilets, kitchen and study area.

tjalkjacht 'Pelikaan' - moored in enkhuizen
The Tjalkjacht 'Pelikaan' will be moored in the port of Enkhuizen during winter 2025/2026. Accommodation is offered to students of the Enkhuizen Nautical College for €40,00 per person per night, including bedding and coffee/tea.
During the exam periods in December 2025 and March 2026 accommodation will be available exclusively to EZS students.

SUYDERSEE HOTEL, ENKHUIZEN
During the 2024/2025 school year, we made arrangements with the 'Suydersee hotel' (Suydersee Hotel Enkhuizen) for students to stay at the hotel (which is an 8 minute walk from the school) for extended periods. We expect these arrangements to be continued in 2025/2026, but are not yet able to confirm pricing. For reference, the prices from last year are shown below.
At the Suydersee Hotel, you have the possibility to share a 3-bed room with other students. The rooms are equipped with a bathroom and a small kitchen with all the necessary appliances. The beds are all single beds that can be separated from each other.
Prices for 2024/2025 were as follows.
Price, depending on the type of room, is:
- €476,- per person per 4 weeks for a 3-bed room which you will share with two other students
- €626,- per person per 4 weeks if you come with your partner or friend for a 2-bed room.
fyi: there will be a price change in 2026 due to tax rise for hotels. The prices listed above will be adapted.

The hotel also has a larger room available for our students, which can be used as a shared study room.
* The school will reimburse 50% of the local taxes, which will save you about € 40,00 per month. This amount will be settled with the bill for your exams.
Disclaimer: we will do our best to have sufficient students to use these facilities. There is a small chance that there are not enough applications to proceed with these arrangements. If that is the case, we will do our best to find alternatives.
